Mark Dion, Round Up: An Entomological Endeavor for the Smart Museum of Art

Over the past 20 years, Mark Dion has focused his investigation on the complex history of the representation of nature, the practice of archeology and the culture of collecting. The diverse forms of his projects include large scale public works, sculpture, drawing, printmaking and photography.

Dion received a BFA and PhD from the University of Hartford School of Arts and is an alumnus of the Whitney Independent Study Program. He has exhibited in over 100 group shows and is represented in museums around the world including The Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the Tate Modern, London.
