Laylah Ali has had solo exhibitions at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), Philadephia; Institute of International Visual Arts (iniva), London; Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis; and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo. In 2002, she published a book of her work for the Projects series at The Museum of Modern Art, New York. Recently, the artist’s book, Notes with Little Illustration, was made in conjunction with her exhibition at iniva, and a catalogue of recent work was published by PAFA in honor of her 2007 exhibition. Ali has been included in the 2003 Venice Biennale, the 2004 Whitney Biennial, and she was featured in the PBS series Art:21.
