Born in 1961, Kembra Pfahler is the painted lead singer of The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, a theatrical death rock band she co-founded in 1990 which has toured extensively and recorded four albums. In 2007, she exhibited in Womanizer at Deitch Projects and in Heaven & Hell, a solo show in Miami during Art Basel Miami Beach. Pfahler most recently created an installation and concert entitled Actresstocracy for the 2008 Whitney Biennial.

Born in 1964, Bruce LaBruce is a photographer, film-maker and writer living and working in Toronto. He studied film at York University in Toronto and is currently a writer and photographer for numerous publications including Nerve.com and BlackBook magazine. He has additionally produced several films which merge the artistic techniques of independent film with pornography.
