Nancy Lorenz is an artist currently living and working in New York. She received a BFA in painting from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a MFA from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and Rome. She has been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions in the United States and Europe.

Lorenz received a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship in 1998. Public commissions include the Gucci Towers in Tokyo and Hong Kong, the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles and the Mandarin Oriental in the Time Warner Center in New York amongst others.
