Born in 1971, Shannon Ebner received a BA from Bard College and an MFA from Yale University School of Art. She has been in exhibitions including the 2008 Whitney Biennial; Learning to Read, Tate Modern, London (2007); Shannon Ebner, PS1 Center for Contemporary Art, Long Island City (2007); The Sun & the Sign, Wallspace, New York (2007, solo); Trace, the former Whitney branch at Altria (2006); and The Plain of Heaven, Creative Time, NY (2005), among others. She has been featured in publications including The New York Times, Artforum, Frieze Magazine, ArtReview magazine, ARTnews, Modern Painters, Aperture Magazine, and The Los Angeles Times. Ebner lives and works in Los Angeles.
