Mary Ellen Carroll, Double Ligature (Prototype)

Mary Ellen Carroll is a conceptual artist living and working in New York City. She is the recipient of numerous grants and honors including a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Rockefeller Fellowship and a Pollock-Krasner grant. This fall, Carroll will realize the project OFPC in Houston, an aggregate land art piece in which she will invert an acre of land and the domestic structure on it. Her work has been exhibited at galleries and institutions around the world including the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; the Institute of Contemporary Art, London; and the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien (MUMOK), Vienna. A monograph will be published this spring by Steidl/Mack.
