John Miller received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1977 and his MFA from the California Institute of the Arts in 1979. He participated in the Whitney Independent Study Program and was included in the 1991 Whitney Biennial. In 2000, JRP Editions and Les Presses du Réel published a collection of his criticism titled The Price Club: Selected Writings, 1977–1996. Miller is currently an associate professor of art history at Barnard College. His most recent exhibition, The New Honeymooners, opened last December at Metro Pictures and Friedrich Petzel Gallery. Miller lives in New York and Berlin.
